We are delighted to announce the opening of a brand new school in Ashford, Kent.  As part of our MF Kent family we are delighted to be teaching from Ashford Oaks Primary School who are also very excited.  As part of this we will be working very closely with the school to share the benefits of Martial Arts within the community.

At this location we will be teaching every Tuesday:

Mighty Matts (3-6yrs): 5:00pm

Family (7yrs+): 5:45pm

There will be an OPEN EVENING on Tuesday, 10th January and we hope as many of you as possible will be able to join us for our launch night.

Grading Day a huge success

Sunday, 2nd October saw over 70 of our MF Kent family test for their new belts and for some, achieve a huge goal of becoming a Black Belt.

We were honoured to have Master James visit to run all of our Gradings from little Mighty Matts nervously taking their first Grading to experienced adults testing for their Black Belt.  His feedback was extremely positive and included high praise for our Panel Grade students.

Well done to everyone single student who took part.  You have thoroughly earned your new belts and I cannot wait to present them to you.  Also, a huge thank you to the MF Kent Team of Instructors, Junior Instructors and parents who helped ensure the day ran so smoothly.

Tag-testing starts now!

Posted on: September 12th, 2016 by David Finch

Grading Day: Sunday, 2nd October 2016

From this week onward we will be looking even closer within each school and starting the process of “Tag-Testing” those students who we feel are ready to move up to the next level.

For those students successfully tagged (this will continue up to the end of September so please do not worry if you / your child does not receive a tag straight away) you will also receive a letter outlining the details of the day and what each student needs to bring.

There are login details and the website address on this letter for you to use to download the appropriate forms.

Tag-Testing will commence for both our Colour-belts (White – Blue incl.) as well as our Panel Students (Red-Stripe and above).

If you have any questions please do not hesitate to speak to your Instructor.

Olympic Legacy continues at Hernhill Primary

Posted on: June 10th, 2016 by David Finch

Thursday, 9th June saw the MF Kent Team continue their work within the community with a fun day of Martial Arts PE lessons at Hernhill CofE Primary School.

This day was part of the Charles Harris Olympic Legacy Programme, set-up to provide opportunities to young children across the region that they otherwise would not have experienced.

We were extremely impressed with the amazing attitude, energy, concentration and manners displayed by all the children – a true credit to the school.

As well as lots of fun-filled exercise and Martial Arts, we focused on Concentration for years 2-5 and Having a Black Belt Attitude for year 6.

Well done to everyone involved and we hope to visit again in the new academic year.
