The 2016 Southern Championships are fast approaching and now is the time to focus our training towards this.  It is such an exciting day and so beneficial to your Martial Arts training as a whole.  You will get to meet lots of wonderful people and be inspired by the amazing energy, determination and skill on show!

To help prepare you we have arranged for some free Championship Training – please speak to your Instructor to register your interest.

Chilham Sports Centre, Chilham

  • 10th April – 10:15 – 11:15am
  • 24th April – 10:15 – 11:15am
  • 1st May – 10:15 – 11:45am

We will also ensure that you have time to practice in your lessons so it is vital you let us know if you are interested.

British Championships & extra training

It is that time of year again already where we are gearing up for the British Championships to be held in Swindon.

This is a really exciting day for the whole family and each event the MF Kent Team have attended we have come home full of pride and huge personal achievements across the board.

Championship Team Training

We will be running FREE training for any students thinking of competing this year.  Whether it is your first time or you are a seasoned professional these sessions are ideal practice for the big day (on top of your regular classes):

  • Oct, 18th         –              1015– 1145hrs

South East Championship success

Saturday, 20th June marked the first ever MF South East Championships in Crawley and to say it was a success would not give it justice.

Without exception, the entire team of students were amazing today and each and every one of you can be so proud! To stand up and be counted as you all did takes courage, determination and commitment and to see you all grow in confidence as the day unfolded was truly inspiring.

Of course, this would not be possible without our wonderfully dedicated team of Instructors and Assistants as well as our passionate and energetic group of families and friends who came to support today. As one big family I feel we can be very proud today.

The standard from all schools was amazing to watch and the sportsmanship and effort was humbling. From those competing for the first time to the seasoned professionals, you are all winners.

We took a team of 20 students of all ages and came home with many wonderful memories, amazing performances, huge pride and an unprecedented 33 medals.

The first ever Matt Fiddes South East Championships!

2015 also brings with it more categories:

– more sparring categories split by belt
– more Kick-Boxing categories split by belt
– hand-drill ONLY category
– Extreme Kicking Combo category

We are putting on some extra free training for all ages and students. If you are thinking of or definately competing be sure to speak to your Instructor.

2015 Regional Championships – Swindon – UPDATE

PLEASE NOTE – THIS CHAMPIONSHIPS HAS BEEN POSTPONED TO 16th May 2015.

 

The application form for the 2015 Regional Championships in Swindon is now available to download from the student login section of our website.

NEW CATEGORIES!

You will notice a few exciting changes to the categories for this year and these include:

  1. Hand-Drill category only (best technique has been removed)
  2. Speciality “Extreme Kicking Combo” category
  3. More  Sparring categories
  4. More Hand-Drill categories
  5. More Kick-Boxing categories

For your diary:

NEW for 2015  is the South-East Championships to be held on 20th June 2015 at the K2 Leisure Centre, Crawley .

Students are welcome to compete in either or both of these tournaments.

As you can see, we have a busy and exciting year ahead and I am very much looking forward to working with you all on your various goals.

You will notice a couple of small changes:

  1. Two of our Colour-Belt Gradings will be held in Maidstone and not Canterbury
  2. We have an additional Championship date which is ar closer to home.  Nearer the time we will also speak to you all about the NEW categories that we have introduced to make these days more exciting & competitive for everyone.

Extra Training Sessions

With the British Championships looming we have organised for some extra training sessions to keep you as sharp as possible.  Here are the details:

CHILHAM SPORTS CENTRE

10:15 – 11:45am

  • Sunday, 12th Oct – Full training for all categories
  • Sunday, 19th Oct – Sparring only
  • Sunday, 26th Oct – Forms, Kick-Boxing Drill, Hand-Drill & Best Technique
  • Sunday, 2nd Nov – Sparring only

CANTERBURY ADULT CLASS 

For the month of October we will be extending the adult class on Sundays (8:00 – 8:30pm) for adult sparring only.
